Who are the Barnstormers?

Absolutely! Our concerts are for everyone. No matter your age, race, or creed, all are welcome to attend. They are free of charge with a good will offering at intermission. They are typically at houses of worship, but they are unaffiliated and open to the public.

The Barnstormers is a men’s chorus that performs TTBB choral music. Our songs range from patriotic, to spirituals, to traditional folk, to musical theater songs such as Seventy Six Trombones from The Music Man and You’ll Never Walk Alone from The Sound of Music.

The Barnstormers is a men’s chorus and we welcome participation from men of all backgrounds and ability. Whether you’ve never sung in a chorus before or you’re a professional musician, all are welcome and encouraged. If you’re not sure, we welcome you to a attend one of our rehearsals to see if you would like to participate. While it can be daunting to learn all of our music in a weekend, we use music when we perform and you can be paired with some of our more experienced singers. Our program remains largely the same from concert to concert, so it gets easier each time you participate.

While some of our music is of a religious nature, we are not a religious organization. Our concerts are typically hosted at religious organizations but the concerts themselves are not affiliated with any religion and our music is largely secular. We do like to encourage our host venue’s mission by offering our gift of music to their worship service on Sunday morning which we encourage (but do not require) our members to participate in. Since we are hosted by a wide range of venues from a wide range of denominations, it is truly a unique experience every concert weekend.
